WandaVision is now on Disney+

WandaVision has finally arrived on Disney+!

In case you haven’t been keeping up to date with the latest Marvel news, WandaVision is a new television series based on the Marvel Comics superheroes Wanda Maximoff (Scarlett Witch) and Vision.

The series is a sequel to Avengers: Endgame and sees Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their roles as Wanda Maximoff and Vision.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Wanda and Vision were separated after Thanos exterminated half the world’s population.

In the new series we see Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) attempt to create an idyllic suburban life for themselves in a little town called Westview. In Westview they can conceal their powers and fit in with the rest of the community. However, the couple begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Each episode takes place in different decades paying tribute to a different decade of TV sitcoms starting with the 50s. Some of the iconic sitcoms include Bewitched, I Love Lucy and the Dick Van Dyke era.

Marvel Studios’ WandaVision blends the style of classic sitcoms from all eras with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is truly something we are yet to see from the MCU and in our opinion, is extremely fascinating and brave.

From just the two episodes we have watched already, this series is one to watch. It will leave you wanting more and wanting to find out what is going to happen next. WandaVision also includes a certain humour that we all know and love from the MCU characters and will have you laughing - and I think we all need a bit of light hearted humour in our lives right now!

The first season consists of nine episodes with the first two episodes available to stream now on Disney +. After January 15th, the show will move to a more normal weekly schedule.

WandaVision kicks off Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a bold new way for Marvel and paints the way for all the new releases we are due to see between 2021 and 2023.

WandaVision takes the first step in Marvel’s new direction and we are so here for it!

For those of you who have watched the first two episodes already, what are your thoughts?
