Top 10 rides at Disneyland Paris!

Top 10 rides at Disneyland Paris!

With restrictions lifting, this can only mean one thing… travel is back on!

Our dreams are coming true and we can FINALLY plan a trip to the most magical place on earth again.

At Disneyland Paris there are SO many great rides! Whether you are looking for rides with big drops and plenty of thrills or something the whole family can ride, there truly is something for everyone.

With 50+ rides to choose from, it’s pretty tricky trying to narrow down which ones are our favourites.

BUT with great difficulty we have managed to choose our top 10 attractions at Disneyland Paris. So if you’re in need of some help making those tough decisions or are due a trip to DLP, have a read of our favourite attractions that we recommend queuing for.

Big Thunder Mountain

Where? Frontierland

The wildest ride in the west. Big Thunder Mountain is a fast-paced, runaway train ride that is enjoyable for the whole family. With being one of the bigger rides at Disneyland Paris, there is a height restriction of 1.02m, but once you’ve passed the height restriction, you are in for a real treat. This family-friendly attraction will most definitely be one of those rides that you have to go on more than once.

With travelling at some speed through the mountains, Big Thunder Mountain is also one of the longer roller coasters in the parks, making that long wait time worth it.

Star Wars: HyperSpace Mountain

Where? Discoveryland

If you love thrill rides, you can’t miss out on riding Disney’s iconic Space Mountain!

Originally known as Space Mountain: Mission 2, the iconic Space Mountain has had a shiny Star Wars takeover. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain launches you into hyperspace with the Rebel Alliance, where you are sent on a mission to spy on an Imperial Star Destroyer.

Featuring big drops and fast twists and turns, this is not a roller coaster for the faint hearted. So, if you’re not afraid of the dark and love fast rollercoasters, then you will love this ride.

The Disneyland Paris version of Space Mountain is almost universally agreed upon to be the best version of this Disney Mountain in all of the theme parks worldwide and we have to agree! Star Wars: HyperSpace Mountain is such a fun ride and if you are a bit of a thrill seeker then you will become obsessed with this ride and will be wanting to queue for this attraction over and over again.

Ratatouille: The Adventure

Where? Walt Disney Studios Park, Toon Studio

In our opinion, Ratatouille is not only one of the best rides in the Walt Disney Studios Park but is one, if not the best ride at Disneyland Paris as a whole. Ratatouille: The Adventure takes you on a 4D experience through Gusteau’s kitchen, where you can discover all the sights and smells you’d expect in a typical Parisian restaurant. You can really immerse yourself into this attraction and the different perspectives this ride offers is phenomenal.

Even the queue area is themed perfectly to the film, including an appearance from Gusteau himself! Every time we ride this attraction, we are blown away! There is no ride like this at DLP and we highly recommend queuing for this ride (even if it is an hour wait!).

Disneyland Paris is currently the only park that has this ride, but Ratatouille will be opening in Epcot on October 1st in Walt Disney World in line with the park's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Ratatouille is suitable for all heights and ages.

The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror

Where? Walt Disney Studios Park, Production Courtyard

A visit to the Disney parks wouldn’t be complete without riding this attraction.

Hands down the creepiest ride at Disneyland Paris. Little disclaimer - this ride is definitely not for the faint hearted.

Get ready to face your fears and take the ultimate plunge in the Hollywood Tower Hotel with riding an elevator like no other. As you plummet back down, again and again, make sure you keep your eyes open to take in the incredible view over the park (trust us, it’s worth the gut wrenching feeling!).

The whole experience you get from this attraction is extra special with every little detail being carefully honed and cast members upping the creepy to make the immersive ride as spooky as possible.

The queues do get long so we recommend getting a fastpass for this ride.

Crush’s Coaster

Where? Walt Disney Studios Park

Have you always wanted to ride a rollercoaster in the shape of a turtle shell? Of course you have!

Oh my god, this ride is so much fun! Get on board a turtle shell and get ready for an adventure through classic scenes from the iconic Pixar movie.

Crush’s Coaster has plenty of twists and turns giving you a true immersive experience like you’re really swimming through the Australian current with Crush, Squirt and the rest of the gang!

This ride doesn’t last very long and the queues may put you off BUT trust us, it’s worth the wait! The design of the cart means you get to experience it at all different angles then you’re used to and is far from your average roller coaster.

Tip: As soon as you enter the Walt Disney Studios, head straight to Crush’s Coaster as the wait times for this attraction can get INSANE. No fast passes are available for this ride so you want to ride this attraction as early as you can.

Star Tours

Where? Discoveryland

An oldie but a goodie. If you’re a fan of Star Wars and aren’t tall enough to ride Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours is a great alternative to get your Star Wars fix. We highly recommend anyone planning a trip to Disneyland Paris to include this ride in your plans, as everyone should ride this attraction at least once!

Star Wars fan or not, this ride is a must. It’s truly an immersive experience that you takes you on a stunning 3D voyage to a galaxy far, far away.

RC Racer

Where? Walt Disney Studios Park, Toy Story Playland

Think Pirates Ship meets Toy Story!

RC Racer is a swinging ship type ride where RC Racer rides up and down a large and bright orange U. From the first look, we didn’t think much of it but as soon as we got off this ride, we wanted to go on it again. Believe us when we say that this attraction is a lot more thrilling than it looks!

This style of ride is not particularly common over all the parks worldwide, which makes RC Racer as Disneyland Paris pretty unique and we love it!

With being located in Toy Story Land, the theming surrounding the attraction is everything! You really do feel like you have entered a land of toys, including the iconic Pixar ball that is located right next to RC Racer.

Due to the safety restraints, guests do need to be 1.2m in order to ride RC Racer so it does rule out the little ones but it is a great ride for the thrill seeking older ones.

Buzz Lightyear - Laser Blast

Where? Discoveryland

It’s time to get competitive and give it your best shot!

If you love a competition then you will LOVE Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Blast. This ride is so much fun and is definitely one for the whole family to enjoy. Practice your aim and rack up points for all the targets you hit. Become the ultimate space ranger and help Buzz defeat Emperor Zurg once for all - alongside competing to get the highest score!

You can’t visit Disneyland Paris without riding this attraction. Yes, this attraction isn’t unique to Disneyland Paris but we think that this version is the best as it features more and different scenes for you to shoot at AND is longer than the ones in the other Disney parks. Bonus!

Peter Pan’s Flight

Where? Fantasyland

Peter Pan’s Flight is a magical ride for all ages featuring incredible imagineering that can make a believer out of anyone.

As you ride through the story of Peter Pan, become a Lost boy(or girl) and take flight over London and head to the second star to the right and straight on till morning! With a little sprinkle of magical pixie dust, you’ll soar high above the city of London, its iconic landmarks and the Darling family home.

This attraction is one of the most popular rides at Disneyland Paris and is one everyone should experience at least once in their life.

If you want to experience a true Disney classic, put this famous ride on your must-try list.

Tip: Get a fastpass for this ride as the queues for Peter Pan’s Flight can be extremely long. If you can’t get hold of a fastpass, for the best chance for a short queue, head over to Fantasyland first thing in the morning and start your magical day with Peter Pan.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril

Where? Adventureland

Again, if you’re a thrill seeker then you will love this ride. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril is one of those rides that a lot of people are unaware of. Tucked into the ruins of Adventureland, Temple of Peril is full of twists and turns - making it undoubtedly one of the heart-thumping and thrilling rides that you will find at Disneyland Paris.
