Things to do over the Easter weekend!

Happy Easter and Happy Spring!

We love everything about Spring! The warmer weather, flowers in bloom, and an extra hour of evening sunshine! Meaning no more dark mornings and shorter evenings feeling unproductive!

Spring also means Easter is just around the corner and we get to enjoy all the fun Easter activities once again! From creating Easter baskets to eating lots of chocolate eggs and bunnies. Yay!

If you're looking for some new Easter activities to do with our family, then this blog post is just for you.

Over the years, celebrating Easter has become more than just going to church on Easter Sunday and having an Easter egg to indulge in over the weekend. For some, Easter is like a mini Christmas and there are so many fun activities to get involved in.

No matter how you plan on spending the weekend, these activities are perfect for all the family!

Easter is a very egg-citing time and there are so many great ways to celebrate!

From opening Easter baskets to having a HUGE Easter egg hunt, here are some things we recommend to do over the Easter weekend.

The Great Easter Bake Off

What's an Easter break without some baking?! Just when you think you've had enough chocolate for one weekend, why not put it to some good use? With all the leftover chocolate (if you have any) use it to create some egg-cellent Easter treats for everyone.

Have an Easter Egg Hunt

Out of all the Easter traditions, this is one of our favourites! You can't go wrong with an Easter Egg Hunt and is definitely an activity that everybody can get involved in, young and old. Easter egg hunts are a great way to get creative AND is also perfect to keep children entertained over Easter.

Spring Clean

The title says it all really. You may struggle to get the kids onboard for this one, but if your house or wardrobe is in need of a spring clean, the Easter holidays are the perfect time to get the job done. Anddddd you never know what you might find. It's time to get cleaning!

Get Active

Some of you may see the Easter break as an opportunity to rest BUT it's also the perfect time to be active too! Especially if the weather is lovely outside. Grab your water bottles and get out in that fresh air! No excuses!

Paint Easter Eggs

It's time to get creative! If you or your kids love painting then this is the perfect activity for you. You could even turn this into a little competition between you and your family.

Easter Sunday Lunch

Gather up your favourite foods and put them together for the Sunday lunch of dreams.

Make Easter Baskets

You're never too young or old for an Easter basket. If you're into gifting at Easter then making an Easter basket or hamper is the perfect activity for you.

Have a Picnic!

Gather your favourite Easter treats and head to your favourite spot for a picnic. Whether that be your local park or even in your back garden, a picnic works anywhere! Everybody loves a picnic and Easter is the perfect time to indulge in all of the chocolate and Easter themed treats. We especially love the Bunny shaped crumpets!
