Celebrating 25 Years of The Gruffalo!
Can you believe that The Gruffalo is turning 25 years old this year?!
In 1999, the multi award winning picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler was published, which is now loved across the globe!
The Gruffalo has since been translated into 107 languages and dialects, and along with the sequel The Gruffalo's Child, has sold more than 18 million copies around the world.
The award-winning rhyming story of a mouse and a monster has found its way into the hearts and bedtimes of an entire generation of children over the past 25 years, and will undoubtedly continue to enchant children for years and years to come.
From its rhymes to its beautiful illustrations, these much loved characters have been warming our hearts and sparking our imaginations for decades with their adventures in the deep dark wood. This year, we are celebrating a remarkable milestone...The Gruffalo's 25th anniversary.
